1. Agreement
By using KrestChat (website, widget, agent dashboard, or APIs), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use KrestChat on behalf of a business, you represent that you can bind that business.
2. The service
KrestChat provides live chat tools for websites, including an embeddable widget, agent inbox, optional mobile notifications, and subscription plans. Features may differ by plan (Free, Pro, Business).
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and properties you create.
- We may suspend accounts for abuse, non-payment, or security risk.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use KrestChat to:
- Break the law or send spam, malware, or phishing
- Harass others or host illegal content
- Probe or disrupt our systems without authorization
- Resell the service except as we agree in writing
5. Customer websites & visitors
If you embed the widget, you are responsible for informing your visitors about chat monitoring as required by applicable privacy laws, and for the content of conversations with your visitors.
6. Plans, payments & refunds
- Paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page (e.g. monthly).
- Payments may be made via Paystack or approved manual bank transfer.
- Manual payments are activated after our confirmation.
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or we agree otherwise.
7. Intellectual property
KrestChat software, branding, and documentation remain our property. You retain ownership of your chat content and website materials. You grant us a license to host and process that content solely to operate the service.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance or outages may occur.
9. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KrestChat is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or loss of profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Provisions that should survive (liability, IP, governing law) will survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
